I forgot to mention this fun thing that happened to us in February. I got a call from my friend Carolyn that I sing with in Take Note. She is friends with a reporter for the Longmont TimesCall who wanted to do a story on a couple whose love of music draws them together and she had asked Carolyn knowing she sings. Well Carolyn immediately thought of Ken and I.
Within a few days, I had a preliminary phone call with Pam, the reporter, and set up a time where she could talk to both Ken and me. She came over one evening and spent a couple of hours with us. She asked great questions and it was fun to talk about how Ken and I met, fell in love, and how the music we share had a roll in that. We also shared how important music is throughout our marriage; how we love doing music activities together and how we serve in our church and community.
It was wonderful getting to know Pam and she wrote a beautiful article. She warned us from the beginning that it would be a short article. So we were very surprised when we got the paper and saw our picture on the front page. Opening to the article, it took almost an entire page. Way more than we were expecting.
