This year Ken and his piano students participated in the Multiple Piano Festival. It was such a fun event! The kids learn part of a duet or trio and then audition for the opportunity to play with a group of other students on stage with 12 grand pianos. All of Ken's students played well enough to earn the chance to play.
Several rehearsals took place in Boulder and there was a lot of driving for a few weekends as they prepared for the big night. Morgan and Trevor LOVED doing this. It was especially fun because many times piano is a rather solitary instrument, but they got to do this in a big group and meet lots of other kids who enjoy playing the piano. Ken even got to participate by playing in the teacher's group.
We are already looking forward to next year!
