Great song...

It's true. I can be a romantic sap. Listening to a little Natalie Cole and was reminded of one of my favorite songs from college. I love the lyrics! I mean, who hasn't felt like this at some point? The combination of music and great lyrics always say things better than I could ever express...

"I'm gonna laugh you right out of my life,
Laugh, and forget this affair
Guess I was foolish
To care.

So I'm gonna dance you right out of my dreams,
Try to be carefree and gay
I guess I'll learn to play
The part.

'cause when our friends begin that
Heartless rumor,
I know I'll really need my
Sense of humor.

I'm gonna laugh you right out of my life,
Make it a beautiful joke.
No one will know you broke
My heart.

But if I find you and I
Really meant that last goodbye,
Then I'm gonna laugh so hard,
I'll cry."

I too love song lyrics. That was one thing that really bummed me out when I met Jamey and he said that music lyrics really don't matter to him. I think that anything you have to say or feel, there is always a song that says it just right. Plus I also love hearing a song and it taking you back to a moment in time. I can often smell the smells, and remember the feels when I hear a special song. Anyway- I'm glad to have found your site. I loved reading some of your older posts. Music can inspire. I thought I'd share another lyrical masterpiece.

All right stop collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop yo I don't know
Turn off the lights and I'll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it you better gain weight
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it

What I want to know smallred is: Did you write those lyrics from memory or did you have to look them up?
